Pain in the Ear

Cranky+Fever+Ear Tugging= Yep, you guessed it. Ear infection.
They. are. miserable.

My last few days have been pretty uneventful and yet exhausting at the same time. I'm sure every mother out there knows exactly what I'm talking about. The last few days have been especially rough, the Beast is sick.

She has been so grumpy since Sunday. She broke out with a fever around 3am Tuesday morning, and hasn't quite made it back down to normal.

The worst part is, before I knew what it was, I thought she was just being needy and annoying. I wasn't very sympathetic, didn't take the time to just sit and hold her or comfort her. I know that babies don't always understand what you are saying, but I do believe they understand your tone pretty well. So telling Chloe, "STOP crying, you need to get used to playing and entertaining youself, Mom isn't always going to be able to sit by you." may not have completely registered, but my lack of concern or patience probably rang clear. Dang it.

SO, today is another day, one where I can hopefully be a little more loving and patient, and tend to my little ailing Beast. (That is what I call her, it's endearing, I swear.)

Until then, I'll enjoy every snuggle she throws my way, which with a toddler, is far and few between, except of course, when they are sick. It's snuggle heaven.

Get well Beast!

Okay, first - BLOG! YAY! I luff it! You must must must keep up with it! Pleeeeez! I wanna know all the scoopy stuff about living in CO.

Second - I absolutely love the nickname Beast. Love it. Adorable.

Third - I'm sorry your little Beast has been sick! That is the worst. And when they feel better, you have to re-teach them things like...how to go to bed on time. At least we always have.

How do you like having a one-year-old???

Oh Good! I'm starting to really like it. At first I felt like a kid learning how to do this:) HA! No, I'm already loving it, I have always enjoyed keeping up with others, so it's time.
Isn't Beast fun? I don't even know where it came from, but I'm pretty sure she came home from the hospital with it. It fits her personality perfectly, She has fire!
Oh man, I totally know what you mean about bedtime... it's like it doesn't exist when they're sick and their whole schedule is thrown.
I can't believe how much of a toddler she is now, it's like I cant think of her as a baby, she is so fun! I think I'm gonna like "one" a whole lot!
How bout you, a one year old and a two year old, right? Are you just loving it?!
